     William McMurdo was born on 28 January 1916 at Paisley, Renfrew, Scotland. He was the son of James McMurdo and Elizabeth Dalrymple Palmer. William McMurdo died on 21 July 1988 at Gourock, Renfrew, Scotland, at age 72.

     William Blackwood was a Bleacher/Justice of the Peace. He was born on 29 December 1824 at Craigallian, Strathblane, Stirling, Scotland. He was the son of John Blackwood and Janet Drummond. William Blackwood married Jane(Jean) Kerr, daughter of Gavin Kerr and Jean Hogg, on 17 August 1847 at New Kilpatrick, Dunbarton, Scotland. Also at Paisley Burgh or Low on 17 August 1847. William Blackwood died on 2 November 1902 at New Kilpatrick, Dunbarton, Scotland, at age 77; Names and dates of all of William's family are on a headstone in New Kilpatrick Cemetery. William was a Partner in William Blackwood & Son, Bleachers, Craigton. He retired from the position on 31st December 1896, and was replaced by his son, Andrew, who continiued on with his brother John as Partners.

     Elizabeth Campbell was born in 1827 at Nairn, Nairn, Scotland. She was the daughter of James Campbell and Marjory (Mary) Reid. Elizabeth Campbell married Donald Davidson, son of John Davidson and Lillias McKenzie, on 15 December 1848 at Meikle Urchany, Cawdor, Nairn, Scotland. Elizabeth Campbell died on 3 May 1903 at Woodside, Cawdor, Nairn, Scotland.

     Isobel Blackwood was born on 12 September 1826 at Craigallian, Strathblane, Stirling, Scotland. She was the daughter of John Blackwood and Janet Drummond.

     Agnes Blackwood was born on 26 November 1830 at Strathblane, Stirling, Scotland. She was the daughter of John Blackwood and Janet Drummond. Agnes Blackwood married Rev Donald McDonald on 10 January 1850 at Craigton, New Kilpatrick, Dunbarton, Scotland. Agnes Blackwood died on 29 June 1852 at New Kilpatrick, Dunbarton, Scotland, at age 21.

     Alexander Blackwood was born on 19 September 1818 at Strathblane, Stirling, Scotland. He was the son of Matthew Blackwood and Jean McNaughtan. Alexander Blackwood died on 28 February 1841 at Arthurlie, Neilston, Renfrew, Scotland, at age 22.

     Rev Alexander McNaughtan was born on 28 March 1787 at St Ninians, Stirling, Scotland. He was the son of Alex McNaughtan and Isabel Russell. Rev Alexander McNaughtan married Janet Blackwood, daughter of William Blackwood and Agnes(Janet) Whyte, on 26 November 1814 at Strathblane, Stirling, Scotland. Rev Alexander McNaughtan was a Minister of the UP Church Milngavie. He died on 6 August 1861 at age 74. In 1809 he became Minister of the Cairns United Free Church in Milngavie, and was moderator of the Relief Synod in 1832. He led his people into the Union of 1847, which formed the United Presbyterian Church. He continued as Minister of Milngavie United Presbyterian Church until 1861.

     James Blackwood was a Bleachfield manager/Electoral registrar. He was born on 29 April 1816 at Strathblane, Stirling, Scotland. He was the son of William Blackwood and Helen Adam. James Blackwood married Agnes Gardner, daughter of William Gardner and Margaret (Mary) McIntyre, on 5 October 1848 at New Kilpatrick, Dunbarton, Scotland. James Blackwood died on 4 May 1884 at Mooroopna, Victoria, Australia, at age 68. From some family letters, it is known that James was in Victoria around 1854 with his brother Alexander.
From information from the Melton Family History Society, James remained in the Melton area, assisting his brother, Alexander, with the management of the sheep farm "Creighton". Later, James moved to Mooroopna, in Northern Victoria, on acquiring some land there.
On 17th January 1884 he was proclaimed in Victorian Government Gazettes as an Officer for celebrating marriages and a Registrar for births and deaths, both in Mooroopna, and a Deputy Electoral Registrar for Mooroopna and Waranga.
His death certificate makes no mention of a wife or children, and as far as is known, he never made a journey back to his wife and children in Scotland. However, in the 1891 census, his wife records herself as a widow.
No probate records for James have been found in Australia or Scotland.

     John Blackwood was a Plumber. He was born on 12 February 1857 at Aberfoyle, Stirling, Scotland. He was the son of John Blackwood and Janet Gardner. John Blackwood died on 17 September 1934 at Kelvin, Glasgow, Scotland, at age 77. He was never married. In the 1911 census he was living with his sister Margaret at 298 Byres Road, Partick, Glasgow.

     Anne Davidson was born in 1851 at Cawdor, Nairn, Scotland. She was the daughter of Donald Davidson and Elizabeth Campbell. Anne Davidson was baptized on 25 September 1851 at Cawdor, Nairn, Scotland. She died on 7 March 1867 at Newlands of Broomhill, Cawdor, Nairn, Scotland.

     Alexander Blackwood was born circa 1795 at Strathblane, Stirling, Scotland. He was the son of William Blackwood and Agnes(Janet) Whyte. Alexander Blackwood was baptized on 10 August 1795 at Strathblane, Stirling, Scotland. Alexander probably died in his infancy as there is no further record of him after his baptism, and his father referred to Walter as his fourth son in his Will.

     Allen Parker was an Ag Lab. He was born circa January 1806 at Ashington, West Sussex, England. He was the son of John Parker and Ann (?) Allen Parker was christened on 23 February 1806 at Ashington, West Sussex, England. He married Elizabeth Baker, daughter of James Baker and Ann Adams, on 6 July 1828 at Washington, Sussex, England. Allen Parker died on 7 April 1880 at Findon, West Sussex, England.

     Alexander McNaughtan was born on 28 November 1815 at New Kilpatrick, Dunbarton, Scotland. He was the son of Rev Alexander McNaughtan and Janet Blackwood. Alexander McNaughtan married Margaret Kerr on 29 March 1847 at Hobart, Tasmania, Australia. Merchant and Public Benefactor. Alexander McNaughtan died on 6 August 1884 at Milngavie, Dunbarton, Scotland, at age 68. He spent much of his working life in Tasmania, having been sent there on business around 1841.      Matthew Blackwood was born on 13 August 1820 at Strathblane, Stirling, Scotland. He was the son of Matthew Blackwood and Jean McNaughtan. Matthew Blackwood was a Master Bleacher. He died on 13 May 1873 at Arthurlie, Barrhead, Renfrew, Scotland, at age 52. He was single.

     Agnes Blackwood was born on 19 November 1824 at Strathblane, Stirling, Scotland. She was the daughter of Matthew Blackwood and Jean McNaughtan. Agnes Blackwood died in 1825; Died an infant.

     John Blackwood was born on 7 August 1830 at Neilston, Renfrew, Scotland. He was the son of Matthew Blackwood and Jean McNaughtan. John Blackwood was a Thread Bleacher. He died on 13 May 1867 at West Arthurlie, Barrhead, Renfrew, Scotland, at age 36. His death certificate states he was single.

     John Blackwood was a Master Bleacher. He was born on 11 November 1828 at Craigallian, Strathblane, Stirling, Scotland. He was the son of John Blackwood and Janet Drummond. John Blackwood married Catherine I Marshall, daughter of Gavin Marshall and Mary Anne Anna McRae, on 5 April 1855 at Gartconnel, New Kilpatrick, Dunbarton, Scotland. John Blackwood died on 2 October 1881 at Craigton, New Kilpatrick, Dunbarton, Scotland, at age 52.

     James Palmer McMurdo was born on 13 November 1919 at Gourock, Renfrew, Scotland. He was the son of James McMurdo and Elizabeth Dalrymple Palmer. James Palmer McMurdo married Luisa Bianco circa 1964 at London, England. James Palmer McMurdo died on 1 August 1993 at Venice, Italy, at age 73.

William McMurdo married Marion Hiddleston, daughter of John Hiddleston and Jane McWilliam, on 19 December 1862 at Birkshaw Cottages, Glencairn, Dumfries, Scotland. William McMurdo died on 16 June 1894 at Kirkmahoe, Dumfries, Scotland.

     Marion Hiddleston was born circa 1842 at Glencairn, Dumfries, Scotland. She was the daughter of John Hiddleston and Jane McWilliam. Marion Hiddleston married William McMurdo, son of John McMurdo and Margaret Affleck, on 19 December 1862 at Birkshaw Cottages, Glencairn, Dumfries, Scotland. Marion Hiddleston died on 13 April 1916 at Saint Giles, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.

     James Palmer was a Blacksmith. He was born on 19 September 1863 at Kirkfield, Mouswald, Dumfries, Scotland. He was the son of Andrew Palmer and Elizabeth Dalrymple. James Palmer married Mary Waters, daughter of Andrew Waters and Mary Copeland, on 25 December 1885 at Lochead, Lochmaben, Dumfries, Scotland. James Palmer died on 18 May 1936 at Leith, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland, at age 72.

     Elizabeth Baker was born on 3 March 1805 at Lancing, West Sussex, England. She was baptized on 3 March 1805 at Lancing, West Sussex, England. She was the daughter of James Baker and Ann Adams. Elizabeth Baker married Allen Parker, son of John Parker and Ann (?), on 6 July 1828 at Washington, Sussex, England. Elizabeth Baker died on 4 January 1899 at Salvington, West Sussex, England, at age 93.

     Mary Waters was born on 21 August 1863 at Dalveen Toll, Durrisdeer, Dumfries, Scotland. She was the daughter of Andrew Waters and Mary Copeland. Mary Waters married James Palmer, son of Andrew Palmer and Elizabeth Dalrymple, on 25 December 1885 at Lochead, Lochmaben, Dumfries, Scotland. Mary Waters died on 13 January 1923 at Winnipeg, Canada, at age 59.

     Helen(Nell) Palmer was born on 29 September 1893 at Carluke, Lanark, Scotland. She was the daughter of James Palmer and Mary Waters. Helen(Nell) Palmer married Christopher Mowat Gracie on 17 December 1915 at Paisley, Renfrew, Scotland. Helen(Nell) Palmer died on 25 January 1967 at Morningside, Edinburgh, Scotland, at age 73.

     Mary Copland Palmer was born on 27 May 1887 at Johnstone, Dumfries, Scotland. She was the daughter of James Palmer and Mary Waters. Mary Copland Palmer married Harry Brown on 1st October 1909 at Ardrossan, Ayr, Scotland. Mary Copland Palmer died on 25 June 1968 at Orange, California, USA, at age 81. Emigrated first of all on the ship "Scandinavian" from Glasgow to Quebec October 1913, with Mary (age 2) and James (age 5m). Also accompanied by (H)Ellen Bell, age 11, daughter of James Bell and Lillias Waters.

     Douglas Smith was born on 24 May 1919. He married Mary Waters Somerville, daughter of Lily Palmer, on 13 September 1947. Douglas Smith died on 23 December 1978 at age 59.

     John McMurdo was a Vanman/Contractor's Foreman. He was born on 31 January 1863 at Glencairn, Dumfries, Scotland. He was the son of William McMurdo and Marion Hiddleston. John McMurdo married Jane Mitchell, daughter of John Mitchell and Ann Paterson, on 14 June 1895 at Wester Campsie, Methven, Perth, Scotland. John McMurdo died on 31 May 1940 at Bridgeton, Glasgow, Scotland, at age 77.

William McMurdo married Elizabeth Dochard, daughter of Alexander Dochard and Christina Morrison, on 10 June 1892 at Saint Andrew, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland. William McMurdo married Anne Mathieson, daughter of Lindsay Mathieson and Ann Cowan, on 15 October 1920 at St Andrew, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland. Anne was a widow. Her previous married name was Anderson. William McMurdo died on 22 December 1946 at St Andrew, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland, at age 81.

     Margaret McMurdo was born on 13 August 1867 at Keir, Dumfries, Scotland. She was the daughter of William McMurdo and Marion Hiddleston. Margaret McMurdo married Peter Jack Robbie, son of William Robbie and Catherine Whyte, circa September 1917 at Toxteth Park, Lancashire, England. Margaret McMurdo died circa March 1951 at Liverpool South, Lancashire, England.

     Robert McMurdo was a Police Constable & Lorryman. He was born on 11 July 1870 at Keir, Dumfries, Scotland. He was the son of William McMurdo and Marion Hiddleston. Robert McMurdo married Mary Jane Bell, daughter of John Bell and Mary Brown, on 16 December 1898 at Alloa, Clackmannan, Scotland. Robert McMurdo died on 25 February 1905 at Royal Infirmary, Dennistoun, Glasgow, Scotland, at age 34. An Inquest found that he died from an industrial accident.
