     George Farish was born circa 1846. He was the son of Robert Farish and Agnes McMurdie. George Farish died on 11 April 1887 at Wards Island, New York, USA.

He died on 10 November 1857 at Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, at age 28 He died in the Melbourne Benevolant Asylum. His records state that he had been in the colony for 3 years. He is listed as "absent" in the Glasgow OPR for the baptism of his daughter Mary in 1853.

     Janet Girvan was born circa 1825 at Keir, Dumfries, Scotland. She married John McMurdo, son of George McMurdie and Mary Lorimer, on 14 September 1849 at Closeburn, Dumfries, Scotland. Janet Girvan died on 22 March 1896 at Closeburn, Dumfries, Scotland.

     Janet Brown was born on 22 August 1833 at Kirkton, Kirkmahoe, Dumfries, Scotland. She was the daughter of Charles Brown and Ann Kerr. Janet Brown married Hugh Dalrymple, son of Andrew Dalrymple and Janet Coulthart, on 22 June 1855 at Kirkton, Kirkmahoe, Dumfries, Scotland.

     Andrew Dalrymple was born on 5 November 1855 at Summervale, Kirkton, Kirkmahoe, Dumfries, Scotland. He was the son of Hugh Dalrymple and Janet Brown. Andrew Dalrymple was a Fisherman in 1886. He married Janet Little, daughter of William Little and Maria Wilson, on 27 August 1886 at Ruthwell, Dumfries, Scotland. Andrew Dalrymple died on 8 May 1937 at Ruthwell, Dumfries, Scotland, at age 81.

Mary Jane Bell married William Nicholson, son of William Nicholson and Christina Jack, on 6 June 1913 at Blythswood, Glasgow, Scotland.

     Alexander Blackwood was buried at Melton, Victoria, Australia. He was a Blacksmith/Storekeeper/Farmer. He was born on 4 March 1822 at Strathblane, Stirling, Scotland. He was the son of William Blackwood and Helen Adam. Alexander Blackwood married Mary Hunter, daughter of James Hunter and Elizabeth Chalmers, on 16 September 1852 at Neilston, Renfrew, Scotland. Also at Paisley (Abbey) on 16 Sep 1852.
Alexander and Mary emigrated to Australia on the ship "Typhoon", leaving Greenock on 22 September 1852. This first iron masted ship was severely damaged in the Bay of Biscay and had to put into Lisbon for repairs which took 10 weeks. Letters from passengers describing the event are in the Glasgow Herald on 22 October 1852.
The ship arrived in Melbourne on 4th March 1853. Alexander and Mary are incorrectly indexed in the unassisted passenger list under the name "Blackmore" (not surprisingly, as the original entry is partially obscured). There is no child listed with them on the passenger list.
From the Melton Family History Society, it is understood that Alexander managed a general store, but also leased land at the farm "Creighton" where he ran a large flock of sheep, and was a leader in the community. When he sold up, he retired to Malvern, a suburb of Melbourne. Alexander Blackwood died on 28 July 1901 at Malvern, Victoria, Australia, at age 79 He Lived at " Strathblane" 28 Gordon Grove, Malvern.

     Catherine McMurdie was born on 28 September 1827 at Closeburn, Dumfries, Scotland. She was the daughter of George McMurdie and Mary Lorimer. Catherine McMurdie died on 18 February 1907 at Closeburn, Dumfries, Scotland, at age 79.
