He died on 17 June 1908 at New Zealand at age 55. Accidentally killed by being run over by railway trucks. Buried at Southern Cemetery, Dunedin, age listed as 54.

     Agnes Kirk McMurdo was born on 14 February 1889 at Sanquhar, Dumfries, Scotland. She was the daughter of John McMurdo and Janet Ross.

     Agnes Ross was born circa 1861 at Kirkconnel, Dumfries, Scotland. She was the daughter of James Ross and Jane Grierson. Agnes Ross married James McMurdo, son of Alexander McMurdie and Agnes Kirk, on 23 February 1883 at Crawick Mill, Sanquhar, Dumfries, Scotland. Agnes Ross died on 15 June 1929 at Sanquhar, Dumfries, Scotland.

Margaret Dunsmore married Alexander Marshall McMurdo, son of William McMurdo and Marion Hiddleston, on 24 March 1911 at Larkhall, Lanarkshire, Scotland. Margaret Dunsmore died on 1 September 1958.

     Marion Gilroy was born on 25 May 1856 at Dirleton, East Lothian, Scotland. In 1871 she was a servant nurse in the household of Lt Col James Orr, at Bush House, Inveresk.
Emigrated to Otago, NZ in 1875 on the "Christian McAusland", age given as 19. She was the daughter of William Dick Gilray and Ann Montgomery. Marion Gilroy married Isaac Morrison in 1877 at Invercargill, New Zealand. Marion Gilroy died on 1 October 1935 at New Plymouth, New Zealand, at age 79. Buried at Te Henui cemetery, age given as 83.

     Elizabeth Dochard was born circa 1868. She was the daughter of Alexander Dochard and Christina Morrison. Elizabeth Dochard married William McMurdo, son of William McMurdo and Marion Hiddleston, on 10 June 1892 at Saint Andrew, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland. Elizabeth Dochard died on 10 July 1917 at Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.

     Alexander Dochard was a Wood Turner. He married Christina Morrison. Alexander Dochard died before 1917.

Her previous married name was Anderson.

     Cecil Goodwin McMurdo was born in 1927 at Larkhall, Lanarkshire, Scotland. He was the son of Alexander Marshall McMurdo and Margaret Dunsmore. Cecil Goodwin McMurdo died on 27 September 1984.

     Jane Mitchell was born circa 1863 at Markinch, Fife, Scotland. She was the daughter of John Mitchell and Ann Paterson. Jane Mitchell married John McMurdo, son of William McMurdo and Marion Hiddleston, on 14 June 1895 at Wester Campsie, Methven, Perth, Scotland.

     Robert John Paterson McMurdo was born on 22 February 1896 at Leith, Edinburgh, Scotland. He was the son of John McMurdo and Jane Mitchell. Robert John Paterson McMurdo was an Optician in 1923. He married Roma (Josephine?) Musk, daughter of Henry Musk and Georgina Egerton, on 21 September 1923 at Kelvin, Glasgow, Scotland. Robert John Paterson McMurdo died on 6 May 1964 at North Glasgow, Glasgow, Scotland, at age 68.

     William Inglis Lindsay McMurdo was born on 22 July 1899 at Leith, Edinburgh, Scotland. He was the son of John McMurdo and Jane Mitchell. William Inglis Lindsay McMurdo died on 21 July 1904 at South Leith, Edinburgh, Scotland, at age 4.
