Janet Connell married John Palmer, son of Andrew Palmer and Elizabeth Dalrymple, on 28 November 1879 at Troqueer, Kirkcudbright, Scotland. On her marriage certificate, Samuel McLean, Ploughman, is given as her reputed father. Janet Connell died on 16 January 1888 at Troqueer, Kirkcudbright, Scotland.

     Joseph Palmer was born on 2 November 1882 at Mouswald, Dumfries, Scotland. He was the son of John Palmer and Janet Connell. Joseph Palmer married Agnes McMurdo, daughter of James McMurdo and Agnes Ross, on 2 June 1905 at Sanquhar, Dumfries, Scotland. Joseph Palmer was a Coal Miner in 1911. He died on 28 April 1917 at France at age 34. He was buried in Sanquhar cemetery.

     Edward Palmer was born circa 1888 at Dumfries, Dumfries, Scotland. He was the son of Andrew Dalrymple Palmer and Isabella McCardle. Edward Palmer married Marion Reid MacDougall, daughter of Hugh MacDougall and Helen Inglis, on 22 March 1915 at Blythswood, Glasgow, Scotland. In 1926, on the death certificate of his son, Andrew D M Palmer, he is given as a Traffic Inspector in the Peking Mukden Railway , Chin Hsien, China.

Matthew Palmer was a Steelworks Clerk in 1917. He married Margaret Butchart on 12 July 1917 at Gorbals, Glasgow, Scotland. Emigrated to Canada on 2 March 1923 on the "Marburn", with wife Margaret and daughters Elizabeth and Isabella.
In the 1925 Canada Prairie Provinces census they were in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
