He married Agnes Glencross circa 1805. Thomas McMurdie married Nicolas Haining, daughter of John Haining and Mary Cuningham, circa 1812 at Keir, Dumfries, Scotland. Thomas McMurdie died in 1859 at Kirkbride, Keir, Dumfries, Scotland.

     George McMurdie married Mary Lorimer, daughter of James Lorimer and Isabella Dalrymple. George McMurdie was born circa June 1785 at Keir, Dumfries, Scotland. He was the son of John McMurdie and Agness Morton (Martin). George McMurdie was baptized on 8 June 1785 at Keir, Dumfries, Scotland. He died on 6 September 1864 at Closeburn, Dumfries, Scotland.

     Margaret Stuart was born circa 1855 at Nairn, Nairn, Scotland. She was the daughter of Alexander Stewart and Jessie McDonald. Margaret Stuart married Hugh Davidson, son of Donald Davidson and Elizabeth Campbell, on 22 February 1877 at Nairn, Nairn, Scotland. Margaret Stuart died on 9 February 1936.

     Henry Allan Parker was born on 26 April 1889 at Bridgeton, Glasgow, Scotland. He was the son of Moses Parker and Ann Gilroy. Henry Allan Parker was a Clerk. He died on 23 July 1908 at Ottawa, Canada, at age 19. Cause of death was drowning. The source is Beechwood Cemetery Registers.

     Brodie William Davidson was born in 1879 at Croy, Inverness, Scotland. He was the son of Hugh Davidson and Margaret Stuart. Brodie William Davidson was a Farmer. He emigrated to Halifax, NS, Canada, on the "Parisian" arriving on 7th May 1910. He is recorded in the 1916 Alberta census as a farmer, and is with his family. He married Elizabeth Mackenzie on 2 April 1910 at Inverness, Inverness, Scotland. She emigrated to Canada, arriving at Quebec on the "Ionian" from Glasgow on 18th September 1910, along with her son George. Her husband, Brodie, had gone ahead of her on the "Parisian". Brodie William Davidson died in 1921. His year of death, but not place, is recorded in the Cawdor, Nairn, monumental inscriptions.

     Constance McDonald Davidson was born on 24 September 1880 at Croy, Inverness, Scotland. She was the daughter of Hugh Davidson and Margaret Stuart.

     David Thomas was born on 9 September 1867 at Drysedale, Dumfries, Scotland. He was the son of Rev David Thomas and Agnes Blackwood. David Thomas died on 26 November 1957 at age 90.

     William Blackwood Thomas was born on 20 April 1869 at Drysdale, Dumfries, Scotland. He was the son of Rev David Thomas and Agnes Blackwood. William Blackwood Thomas died on 18 October 1923 at age 54.

     Grace Agnes Isabella Thomas was born on 11 September 1879 at Drysdale, Dumfries, Scotland. She was the daughter of Rev David Thomas and Agnes Blackwood. Grace Agnes Isabella Thomas married James Jardine in 1903 at Old Monkland, Lanarkshire, Scotland. Grace Agnes Isabella Thomas died on 1 February 1950 at Lockerbie, Dumfries, Scotland, at age 70.

     Isabella Locke was born in 1855 at Neilston, Renfrew, Scotland. She was the daughter of Hugh Locke and Isabella Blackwood. Isabella Locke married Robert Ligat, son of David Ligat and Janet Lyon, on 7 September 1882 at West Arthurlie, Barrhead, Renfrew, Scotland. Isabella Locke died on 23 May 1926 at Newmilns, Ayrshire, Scotland.

     Janet (Jenny) Gardner Blackwood was born on 7 August 1897 at Kilcreggan, Dunbarton, Scotland. She was the daughter of James Blackwood and Marjory Davidson. Janet (Jenny) Gardner Blackwood married Thomas Queen, son of Peter Queen and Elizabeth Swan, in 1944 at Pollock, Glasgow, Scotland. Janet (Jenny) Gardner Blackwood died in August 1982 at Shawlands, Glasgow, Scotland. For many years she ran a ladies hat shop in Byres Road, Glasgow.

     Agnes Locke was born on 22 November 1859 at Neilston, Renfrew, Scotland. She was the daughter of Hugh Locke and Isabella Blackwood. Agnes Locke died on 18 February 1928 at age 68.

     Margaret Locke was born on 21 December 1864 at Neilston, Renfrew, Scotland. She was the daughter of Hugh Locke and Isabella Blackwood. Margaret Locke died on 30 October 1887 at age 22.

     Janet Locke was born in 1869 at Neilston, Renfrew, Scotland. She was the daughter of Hugh Locke and Isabella Blackwood. Janet Locke married William Thompson Hall, son of William Thompson Hall and Hannah Jowett, on 25 October 1901 at Neilston, Renfrew, Scotland.

     Thomas Gillrie was a Ploughman. He married Catharine Clark. Thomas Gillrie was born on 30 June 1776 at Braid, Liberton, Midlothian, Scotland. He was the son of Hugh Gillrie and Anne Dick. Thomas Gillrie was baptized on 4 July 1776 at St Cuthbert's, Midlothian, Scotland. Witnesses, William Dick, Mason at Briggs, and John Girdwood, Labourer at Braid. He was baptized on 7 July 1776 at Liberton, Midlothian, Scotland. He died before 1855. In the Inveresk and Musselburgh OPR deaths, there is a record on 21 January 1836 of a Thomas Gillrye, labourer, age 61. No monumental inscription has been found.

     Catharine Clark married Thomas Gillrie, son of Hugh Gillrie and Anne Dick.

     Catherine Margaret Gilroy was born circa January 1813 at Inveresk, Midlothian, Scotland. She was the daughter of Thomas Gillrie and Catharine Clark. Catherine Margaret Gilroy was baptized on 18 January 1813 at Inveresk, Midlothain, Scotland.

     Thomas Gillray was born on 24 June 1806 at Pentland Mains, Liberton, Midlothian, Scotland. He was the son of Thomas Gillrie and Catharine Clark. Thomas Gillray was baptized on 6 July 1806 at Liberton, Midlothian, Scotland. Also baptised at Lasswade on 6th July 1806. He married Margaret Hunter on 26 November 1836 at Inverkeilor, Forfar, Scotland. Thomas's name in the parish record is given as "Dalry", but is spelt Gillry or Gilroy in the later censuses. Thomas Gillray died on 9 December 1883 at Inverkeilor, Forfar, Scotland, at age 77. On the death certificate, the informant, George Gilroy (son), gives Thomas's parents as Thomas Gilroy (dec) and Betsy Gilroy M.S. Paton (dec). No trace of a Betsy or Elizabeth Paton has been found in connection with the Gilroy line.
In the 1851 to 1881 censuses Thomas gives his birth place as Liberton, and his implied birth year of about 1806.

     William Clark Gilry was born on 5 January 1803 at Niddrie Mains, Liberton, Midlothian, Scotland. He was the son of Thomas Gillrie and Catharine Clark. William Clark Gilry was baptized on 19 January 1803 at Liberton, Midlothian, Scotland.

     Hugh Gilry was born on 6 May 1804 at Niddrie Mains, Liberton, Midlothian, Scotland. He was the son of Thomas Gillrie and Catharine Clark. Hugh Gilry was baptized on 14 May 1804 at Liberton, Midlothian, Scotland. He was a Labourer on 9 February 1827. He married Marion Cairns, daughter of Peter Cairns, on 23 February 1827 at Liberton, Midlothian, Scotland. Hugh Gilry died on 1 January 1856 at Currie, Edinburgh, Scotland, at age 51.
